Government cybersecurity thought leaders gather at Forcepoint Cybersecurity Leadership Forum
This year we are seeing a bigger push than ever for government agencies to become cyber secure. The Federal Cybersecurity Risk Determination Report and Action Plan, produced by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and mandated by a May 2017 executive order on cybersecurity, found that 74 percent of the 96 agencies participating in the risk assessment process had programs that were at moderate or high risk.
To address this, and other critical topics related to cybersecurity, Forcepoint is hosting our third annual Forcepoint Cybersecurity Leadership Forum (#ForcepointCLF) at the Newseum in Washington, DC on Wednesday, June 13. The event, co-produced with Cyberscoop, will bring together some of the biggest decision makers and influencers across the U.S. Federal Government, as well as key system integrator, technology and other partners, to discuss important cybersecurity trends and issues facing the government agencies today.
Opening the morning general session as keynote speaker for this year’s event will be Forcepoint CEO Matt Moynahan in a talk entitled “Transforming Cybersecurity to Protect our Citizens, Infrastructure and Economy.”
The keynote will be followed by an impressive roster of government, defense and industry thought leaders and Forcepoint executives delivering presentations, panel discussions and fireside chats. U.S. Federal Government agencies and departments represented include the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Energy, the General Services Administration, the Department of Agriculture, the Veterans Administration, the Department of Defense, the National Security Agency, and the Secret Service. The afternoon will provide attendees the opportunity to participate in thematic breakout sessions such as Commercial Products and Government Applications Innovation, the CDM Program Opportunity, Building an Insider Threat Program, and Leveraging EIS to Transform Federal Networks. In addition, a Forcepoint Solution Showcase will provide attendees an opportunity to go hands-on with demos and learn more about Forcepoint solutions for government agencies.
