Dr. Richard Ford
Dr. Richard Ford is the chief scientist at Forcepoint, overseeing technical direction and innovation for the company’s human-centric security approach; previously, he was CTO at Forcepoint. He graduated from the University of Oxford in 1992 with a doctorate in quantum physics.
Richard has worked extensively in computer security and malicious mobile code prevention at IBM Research and Verio. He was also a professor and head of the computer science and cybersecurity department at the Florida Institute of Technology
He is a member of CARO, and a past President/CEO of AMSTO, the Anti-Malware Testing Standards Organization. When not carrying out research in computer security, he loves to fly and is an instrument rated private pilot, as well as a three-time winner of the National Flute Association’s Big Band Jazz competition.
