Forcepoint NGFW has received a “Recommended” rating for overall security effectiveness, performance, and total cost of ownership (TCO), according to the 2016 NSS Labs Next Generation Intrusion Prevention System (NGIPS) Comparative Report series. Forcepoint NGFW was also recommended by NSS Labs for the 4th consecutive test in their NGFW testing. Customers can download the NGFW test here.
In this latest test, NSS Labs tested a variety of other products, including dedicated IPS boxes. Not only did our Forcepoint NGFW platforms do as well or better than those IPS-only products, our solutions also provide next-gen firewalling, VPN connectivity, multi-link aggregation, cloud-based firewalling and so much more – all managed from a single console.
NSS Labs, an independent security research and testing organization, highlighted Forcepoint NGFW in the NGIPS group test, which measures products with integration of key components, namely including intrusion prevention, reputation systems, and application identification, within a single platform.
Highlights from the report:
- Forcepoint NGFW blocked 100.0% of attacks against server applications, 99.8% of attacks against client applications, and 99.9% of attacks overall.
- Proprietary Advanced Evasion Technique (AETs) defenses proved effective against all attack evasion techniques tested.
- Forcepoint NGFW solution passed all of the stability and reliability tests.
