DLP for Cloud Email Extends Data Security Across Devices

Kevin Oliveira

Email continues to be the most prevalent attack vector. Doesn’t matter if you look back a few years, or if you look at recent reports like the Forrester Wave ™ Enterprise Email Security, Q2 2023. According to Verizon’s 2023 Data Breach Investigations Report, over 50% of all breaches start from email. This new release of Forcepoint DLP for Cloud Email helps tip the scales in favor of organizations.

We’ve offered strong email security options for years. Today, we’re making it even better with this new release of DLP for Cloud Email. Why? Because now, DLP for Cloud Email builds on our industry-leading Enterprise DLP by extending all those benefits into Microsoft Exchange and to top cloud email clients like Gmail, Apple Mail and more.

Many customers choose Forcepoint’s Enterprise DLP because it offers them huge flexibility with things like 1,700 out-of-the-box policies, templates and data classifiers. That’s more than our competitors. Besides boosting productivity, these policies help our customers comply with data laws and regulations covering over 150 regions globally. That translates into fewer false positives, and it allows security teams to focus on more important things like preventing sensitive data loss through email.

For our Enterprise DLP customers, new DLP Cloud for Email:

  • Extends those industry-leading policy management and email security capabilities to Gmail, Apple Mail and other cloud email services—all possible because it is agentless.
  • Extends that same level of email security to BYOD devices like smartphones, laptops, Chromebooks, tablets and personal laptops since it operates as an agentless service.

We made the new DLP for Cloud Email easy to deploy and manage. For example, it offers a direct connection to Microsoft Exchange, allowing it to leverage features like quarantine encryption, manager routing and more—all things that extend capabilities beyond our endpoint DLP.  And it does all of these things through the cloud.

And for organizations that aren’t already leveraging Forcepoint’s Enterprise DLP, we’re offering this new DLP for Cloud Email as a standalone option. Contact us to learn more.

We designed the new DLP for Cloud email to extend our award-winning Data Security Everywhere, allowing organizations to unify policy and incident management across all channels—from endpoint to the cloud, web and email. And watch this space… we’ll be looking to build on this capability in the coming weeks.
