Matt Derdeyn

Matt Derdeyn serves as Chief Financial brings more than two decades of financial leadership across public and private equity-backed companies in the technology, media, and telecom sectors. With deep expertise in corporate finance, M&A, and complex restructuring, Derdeyn plays a critical role in driving Forcepoint’s global growth and operational excellence.
Prior to joining Forcepoint, Derdeyn was CFO at Archer Technologies, where he led the company through a double carve-out from Dell Technologies and RSA Security LLC, its immediate parent, and through a successful multi-billion dollar sale process while simultaneously accelerating organic growth into the double digits.
He previously served as CFO of LionTree and Executive Vice President and CFO of Answers Corporation, where he was instrumental in leading a marketing SaaS rollup through multiple acquisitions, and taking point on a dual path IPO/sale process which resulted in a strategic sale to APAX Partners. Derdeyn has also held senior finance roles at Charter Communications and Mediacom Communications.
Derdeyn holds both a Juris Doctor and an MBA in Finance from the University of Virginia, where he earned degrees from the UVA School of Law and the Darden School of Business.
