Burger King and Forcepoint: The Winning Formula

In a fast-paced business world where connectivity and security are essential for success, Burger King, the leading Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) brand in Turkey, found the winning formula by partnering with Forcepoint. They faced a challenge familiar to many organizations- the need to upgrade and modernize their Wide Area Network (WAN) infrastructure before reaching the end of its life cycle.

Choosing the Right Solution

Burger King required centralized management to control over 1,000 network endpoints and integrate various connection types while reducing downtime. Burger King and its partner, ATP Digital, rigorously evaluated multiple vendors, considering critical features like granular analysis, zero-touch deployment, centralized product management and more. Forcepoint’s Secure SD-WAN with native NGFW capabilities was the standout product, as it delivered the required capabilities while reducing costs and providing reliable connectivity. Forcepoint scored a remarkable 91% and averaged 4.5 out of 5 across all categories. The decision was clear, Forcepoint was the smart choice.

 

Burger King deployed over 1,300 SD-WAN appliances throughout their network, with installations so simple it required no technical assistance (except to plug in the appliances). Using a cloud infrastructure, the team configured devices with predefined policies, achieving efficient and centralized network management.

Immediate Benefits Realized

Forcepoint delivered immediate benefits. Burger King successfully integrated its sprawling network, enabling centralized policy management and enforcement. Automatic failover and load sharing enhanced network privatization and reliability. With consistent communication, the network no longer impacted operations, reducing downtime and potential revenue loss. Protection from advanced threats

Burger King’s need for enterprise-level anti-virus and malware protection led to the integration of Forcepoint’s Advanced Malware Detection (AMD) sandbox solution. This additional layer of security, safeguards restaurants from ransomware attacks including Zero-day threats.
