Transforming from “Zero” to “Hero” with Data-first SASE

Jim Fulton

Welcome to our #5steps2sase series and part of our ongoing thread about SASE.

With the shift to a hybrid workforce—in which people are working at home, in offices, even traveling once again—comes new challenges, but also new opportunities.  New technologies are rapidly emerging that enable you to transform your business so that your people and data can be anywhere, working safely and efficiently.

Many organizations are replacing the short-term workarounds implemented during the pandemic to keep people safe, yet productive. Today, protecting the enterprise edge is difficult, or some would argue, impossible. With users and apps everywhere, securing access is just the first step. You have to focus on who’s looking out for your data and how.

Secure Service Access Edge (SASE) is intended specifically to make it possible for organizations to enforce security policies seamlessly—over the web, in the cloud, even with private applications in internal data centers—regardless of where people are. In doing so, it provides the ideal way to deliver security-as-a-service that applies Zero Trust principles of ensuring that people have explicit permission for every they action they take with sensitive data or intellectual property.

To help organizations figure out where to start in using SASE to enable their people to get to and use data safely, we put together a “5 Steps to SASE” webcast series that looks at the challenges and opportunities that businesses and government agencies are facing. It’s a little different—no slides, just conversations with industry experts who provide insights that can help you go from zero to hero in creating an integrated cloud and network security strategy that puts data security at the center. Take a look for yourself.

The above video is divided into chapters in case you want to watch (or re-watch) a specific section (the below links will bring you right to the specific chapter as well).
